Euros 1700 

Statue of a Taoist dignitary in formal attire, holding his mandarin tablet("hu" in Chinese language) in both hands, and standing on a square pedestal resting on four feet. The face bears a strong Tang Dynasty stylistic influence. Bronze, with dark-gren patina, and remnants of the original gilding. The statue was cast in China during the Ming Dynasty (1368~1644 A.D.). Euros 50 

Small bracelet made of glass, found in an archeological digging. Philippines, Luzon Island, Ifugao Peoples. Dimensions: outside diameter: around 2 1/2" (around 6,5cm), inside diameter: around 2" (5 cm). Obvious signs of a long stay underground, large calcification and soil stains, otherwise good condition.

Euros 190 

Belt hook with a dragon head at its top, and a rounded body, and with a button at the back for attachment to the leather belt. Bronze, green patina, partly encrusted, with reddish areas (a sign of great age). China, Warring States Period (475~221 B.C.). Height: 2 5/8" (6,6 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom plexi stand. A slight dent was made at the lower front side (see photo) during excavation, otherwise condition is very good.

Ink pot of circular shape resting on a semi-spheric base. The whole piece is decorated, on its lid with a geometric design, on its body with a double dragon (on one side) and foliage and geometric design (on both sides), and on its base with a lotus and geometric design. The pot has one loop on both upper sides of its body, to which a double chain is attached. Bronze, fine dark-green patina, partly encrusted. Himalayan Region, Nepal, 18th century. Euros 160 

Dome-shaped seal, with incised design of a male bust in profile. Hole pierced throughout for attachement to a necklace. Agate, with deep calcification due to a long stay underground. Persia, Sassanian Period, 5th/6th century A.D. Height: 1 3/4" (2 cm). The seal is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand which bears a patinated plaster imprint of the incised design. Erosion and a few tiny chips, otherwise very good condition.

Bracelet made from a large shell, found in an archeological digging. Philippines, Luzon Island, Ifugao Peoples. Dimensions: outside diameter: around 3" (7,7 cm), inside diameter: around 2" (5 cm). Obvious signs of a long stay underground, some calcification and soil stains, otherwise good condition. Collected in 1978.

Snuff bottle of classical rounded shape, flat sides and with a "tao tie" mask on each shoulder. Dark blue glazed porcelain. Coral, silver and brass stopper with bone spoon. China, early 19th century, maybe earlier. Height (without stopper): 2 9/16" (6,5 cm). Erosion all over, extremely tiny chip at base, otherwise good condition.

Decor painted inside: obverse: a crane beneath a gnarled pine tree and beside a mythical mushroom; reverse: a mountainous landscape, surmounted by 6 Chinese characters. Unsigned. Mother-of -pearl and silver stopper, white metal spoon. China, 19th century. Height: 2 15/16" (7,5 cm). Chip inside rim, otherwise good condition.
