Euros 395 

A hollow molded pottery bust from a larger figure, wearing a large headdress. Angular face with expressive features, open toothy mouth. Opening at the back. Collection reference numbers on upper side of back. Terracotta, with soil encrustations. Mexico, Remojadas, Vera Cruz Culture, Ca. 700-900. Height: 5" (13 cm). The bust is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Some parts chipped, otherwise very good condition. Small textile fragment of brown and beige colour, embroidered in the shape of stylized eagles in geometric frames. Peru, Pre-Columbian Period, Nazca Culture, Ca. 1000-500 B.C. Dimensions; length: around 10 1/2" (26,5 cm), width: around 6 5/8" (16,7 cm). A few stains, and partial damages on some eagles.

Semi-globular vase resting on ring base, with a stylized condor on each side and a bridge handle, its shoulders decorated with an incised geometric design. Terracotta, with black and red pigments. Costa Rica, Pre-Columbian Period, Ca. 800-1500 A.D. Height: 7 3/4" (19,5 cm). Obvious signs of great age, soil encrustations, very good condition.

Small head of a jaguar with a fierce expression. Terracotta. Ecuador, Pre-Columbian Period, Tumaco Culture (Ca. 500 B.C.). Height: 2 1/4" (5,7 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Chips on nose, jaw and right ear, otherwise good condition. Ex. European collection.
