Agate seal incised to represent a human bust. A hole is pierced through for attachement to a necklace. Persia, Sassanian period (224-642). Height: 3/4" (1,8 cm). The seal is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand on which a patinated plaster imprint has been affixed. Tiny chips, otherwise good condition.

Cylinder seal carved to represent a man and a chimera standing in front of a king or deity sitting on a throne. White stone. Mesopotamia, Neo-Assyrian period (730-660 B.C.). The seal is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand on which a patinated plaster imprint has been affixed. Erosion, otherwise good condition.

Terra-cotta toy representing a ram, with circular horns, small forelegs, its back supporting a kind of elaborate stand, its hind legs a cylinder which must have held wheels originally. Pinkish terra-cotta, with soil encrustations. Near Eastern Region, Syrian or Elamite, 3rd to 2nd century B.C. Dimensions: height: 2 3/4" (6,5 cm), length: 4 1/4" (11 cm). Very good condition despite obvious signs of use and age. A rare piece. Ex. old French collection.

Small statue of a reclining chimera. Bronze, with dark and light green encrusted patina. Iran, Luristan, Ca. 9th century B.C. Length: 2 3/8" (6 cm). The statue was originally affixed to a custom wood stand, which bears an old inscription ("griffon", meaning griffin in French) beneath. Very good condition. Ex; old French collection.

Dome-shaped seal, with incised design of a male bust in profile. Hole pierced throughout for attachement to a necklace. Agate, with deep calcification due to a long stay underground. Persia, Sassanian Period, 5th/6th century A.D. Height: 1 3/4" (2 cm). The seal is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand which bears a patinated plaster imprint of the incised design. Erosion and a few tiny chips, otherwise very good condition.

Pair of earrings made of gold, with central boss decorated with central blue glass bead and borders of two concentric circles of tiny beads, and with a wire attachment. Reddish patina, glass beads with silvery iridescence. Rome, Middle Eastern Region, 3rd century A.D. Height: 1 1/8" (3cm). Very good condition.
