Small belt hook, its main part of spheric shape, its narrow stem ending in a nice duck head. Large round knob for attachment to a leather belt. Bronze, red and dark-green patina. China, Han Dynasty Period (-206/+220). Height: 1 3/4" (4,3 cm). Very good condition.

Statue of the God of Medicine, in formal robes, standing on a squarish base and flanked by his two attributes, the lion and the dragon. Rectangular hole at the back to make room for a "votive box", lid missing but some votive documents still remaining. Wood, with remnants of lacquering and gilding. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Height: 9 1/2" (24 cm). Hands and dragon head missing, some flaking, otherwise good condition.

A very fine 19th C. Tibetan "tsa tsa", representing Buddha in a posture of appeasement and protection, sitting on a lotus throne. Terracotta. Gilding on the front and sides, black pigment on the back. Height: 1 1/16" 2,8 cm). Excellent condition.

Statue of crowned Buddha, in royal attire, his hands in "bhumisparsa mudra" (taking the Earth as a witness of the veracity of his sayings), sitting cross-legged on a tall throne. A hole at the top of the crown suggests the presence originally of a finial, now gone, while a hole at the back means that the statue was held firmly in a niche via a tenon. Pair of "tao tie" masks, with a rod at the back, probably for attachment to what originally was a vessel, now gone. Bronze, with fine green partly encrusted patina, remnants of soil encrustations. China, Warring States Period (-475/-221), maybe earlier. Dimensions: height: 1 11/16" (4,1 cm), width: 1 1/2" (3,9 cm). The pair is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Very good condition.

Plate, decorated with the Thai "black crow" motifs on the interior, and with three cursory lotus panels on the exterior, the greyish celadon body with a shallowly pitted slumped base, with short footing and clear, finely crazed glaze. Diameter: 7 7/8" (20 cm), height: 1 5/8" (4 cm). Thailand, Kalong ware, circa 14th to mid-sixteen centuries. Tiny flakes in some areas, small crack at the rim (see photo), some erosion, otherwise good condition.

Beautifully carved mask representing a demon, with a fierce expression, two horns, bulging eyes, open mouth showing teeth and fangs. Wood, with dark encrusted patina. China, 18th century. Height: 8 1/2" (21 cm). Obvious signs of use and great age, erosion at the back, otherwise very good condition.

Small statue of Tibetan god Kubera, sitting at ease ("lila asana") on a lotus throne, holding a skull top with his right hand and the mangoose that spits jewels with his left hand. Bronze, with fine reddish-green patina. Traces of the original gilding in the recesses. Tibet, 17th century. Height: 1 1/2" (3,8 cm). Very good condition despite erosion and wear due to great age. Small mirror of circular shape, decorated with simple concentric circles. Bronze, oxidized, with remnants of green patina (the piece was probably "cleaned" after its digging from an archeological site). China, Tang Dynasty Period (618-907). Diameter: 3" (7,6 cm). Good condition.

Unusual partly gilt copper snuff bottle, its body with a relief design of the eight Buddhist symbols and a central geometric design with coral and turquoise inlays on each side. Long neck with geometric design and coral and turquoise inlays. Partly gilt copper spoon and stopper. Two loops on each shoulder. A chain joins the loops to the stopper. Tibet, 19th century. Height: 3 7/8" (9,7 cm). Very good condition.
