Statue of a deified tamed demon, standing in an aggressive and threatening posture on a rounded rectangular base, bare chested, wearing a large cape and pants, holding an axe in his right hand. Wood, with several superimposed layers of lacquering and gilding. Remnants of hair tufts around the top of the forehead. China, Qing Dynasty, mid 18th century. Height: 14" (35,5 cm). Large disc, perforated at its center with a conical section hole. Green jade, with beige/light brown inclusions. China, Neolithic Period. Dimensions: outside diameter: 12,3 cm, inside diameter: 4,8 cm, thickness: 5 to 7 mm. There is a kind of slanted straight dent on one side of the rim, as can be seen in a few similar pieces of this period. Several chips around the rim, otherwise good condition.
NOTE; this kind of disc, commonly called "bi" disc, was supposed to symbolize Heaven.

Large tsampa bowl, its core made of wood, almost entirely covered with embossed silver decoration showing an intricate design of six zodiac animals (wild boar, tiger, rat, rabbit, ram and bull), surrounded with lotuses. Inside the bowl, remnants of a lacquered decor which must have originally represented a deity in clouds. Tibet, 18th century. Dimensions: diameter: 7" (17 cm), height: 1 3/8" (5,6 cm). A rather large cup, light celadon colour, with a moulded decor of stylized lotuses, in light relief, in the center, and a decor carved in relief of lotus petals at the back. China Song Dynasty Period (960-1279 A.D.). Dimensions: height: 2 1/2" (6,6 cm), diameter: 7 1/16" (18,1 cm). Remnants of the original silver cover around the rim. Small kiln defect at the back (see photo), otherwise very good condition.

Face mask, protruding forehead, large ears, pierced through oval eyes, small nose with pierced through nostrils, open pierced through rectangular mouth. Wood, with dark encrusted patina. Remnants of small metal pieces around mouth and chin, which were meant to attach goat skin or animal hair, to represent a moustache and beard. Himalayan Region, early 19th century, probably earlier.
