Statue of the God of Medicine, in formal robes, standing on a squarish base and flanked by his two attributes, the lion and the dragon. Rectangular hole at the back to make room for a "votive box", lid missing but some votive documents still remaining. Wood, with remnants of lacquering and gilding. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Height: 9 1/2" (24 cm). Hands and dragon head missing, some flaking, otherwise good condition.

Pair of "tao tie" masks, with a rod at the back, probably for attachment to what originally was a vessel, now gone. Bronze, with fine green partly encrusted patina, remnants of soil encrustations. China, Warring States Period (-475/-221), maybe earlier. Dimensions: height: 1 11/16" (4,1 cm), width: 1 1/2" (3,9 cm). The pair is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Very good condition.

Beautifully carved mask representing a demon, with a fierce expression, two horns, bulging eyes, open mouth showing teeth and fangs. Wood, with dark encrusted patina. China, 18th century. Height: 8 1/2" (21 cm). Obvious signs of use and great age, erosion at the back, otherwise very good condition.

Small statue of a Buddhist monk, or "lohan" (Buddha's disciple), standing in praying posture. Bronze, with gilding on the face and hands of the statue. Reddish green patina. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Height: 4 1/2" (11,7 cm). The piece is resting on a plexi base. Several small casting defects (see photos), otherwise very good condition. Small bowl of rounded shape, carved decoration of stylized lotus petals outside, with a short footring. Celadon, rather thick ceramic, with traces of light brown colour coming from a long stay underground. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Diameter: 5 3/8" (13,5 cm), height: 1 7/8" (4,8 cm). Slight glaze erosion in some areas around the rim, small chips at base, shape slightly warped, otherwise very good condition.
