Pendant carved in the shape of two stylized birds facing each other. Light green jade, with reddish inclusions. China, 18th century, probably earlier. Length: around 2 1/4" (5,7 cm). Tiny chips in a few areas, erosion due to use and age, otherwise good condition.
Semi-circular pendant ("huang" in Chinese). Light green jade, with a calcified area at the upper part and on some other tiny areas, due to a prolonged stay underground. The piece is decorated with an archaic geometric design on the center part, ending on each side with a stylized dragon head. Scabbard buckle ("wei" in Chinese). Dark-green ("spinach colour") jade, with an important calcification at the upper area due a prolonged stay underground. The piece is decorated with an archaic geometric decor carved in relief, ending in a stylized tiger head at the lower part. There are traces of a rusty colouring in tiny areas in the calcified part, suggesting a former contact with what may have been a blade in the grave where it was buried.
