Architectural ornament in relief representing the Hindu God Virabhadra, an avatar of Shiva, standing, wearing formal cap and "dhoti", his face showing a fierce expression underlined by the fangs protruding from his mouth, holding a sword in his left hand and a shield in his right hand. Wood, with fine reddish-brown patina. India, 18th century. Height: 29" (71 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Small seal in the shape of a bird, its wings with geometric motifs, and a circular seal beneath. Bronze, with green encrusted patina. India, Indus Valley Culture, Ca. 3rd millenium B.C. Dimensions: length: 1 13/16" (4,5 cm), height: 5/8" (1,6 cm), width: 1 5/8" (4,3 cm). Very good condition. A rather rare piece. Ex. old French collection.

Small relief fragment representing a deity standing in "abhanga", his left hand resting on his hip, his right hand holding what may have been an attribute, now gone. Marble, eroded with time. India, circa 10th century. Height: 4" (10 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Good condition despite obvious signs of use and great age.

Small statue of Lakshmi, standing on a circular flat base in "abhanga" posture, wearing a simple "dhoti", a diadem and jewellery, holding a lotus in her left hand and a small gift in her right hand. Bronze, fine reddish green patina. India, 18th century. Height: 3 1/2" (9 cm). Erosion all over, otherwise very good condition. Note: in the Hindu pantheon, Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and happiness, is the wife of Vishnu
