Very old mask, with flat top, protruding forehead, eyes in relief, long distorted nose, large mouth with protruding lips. Remnants of black pigments on the sides, the eyes and the mouth. Two holes for attachment on each side. Strongly eroded wood with brownish patina. Indonesia, Borneo Island, Dayak Peoples, Kayan sub-group. Height: 11 1/4" (28 cm).
