Male figure with large triangular head, long torso with protruding navel and small arms, short legs. Brass rings at ears (one making a long chain), navel and around abdomen. Wood, fine reddish-brown dark patina. Africa, D.R. Congo, Azande Peoples. Height: 9" (22,3 cm). Age crack along the left side of the torso, otherwise very good condition.

Face mask, deeply hollowed out, with small ears, eyebrows in relief, small pierced through eyes, long nose, protruding cheek bones, small pierced through mouth. Wood, with glossy patina. Indonesia, Timor Island. Height: 11 1/2" (29 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old accident (restored, see photo)) under the chin, erosion, otherwise good condition.

Statue of a standing male, head carved in detail, long and large neck, narrow shoulders, arms alongside torso, relief breasts, protruding abdomen, obvious genitalia, protruding buttocks, long bent legs, large stylized feet. Hard and heavy wood, brown patina with some encrustation. Africa, Burkina Faso, Lobi Peoples. Height: 29 1/2" (75 cm). Erosion all over and age cracks, otherwise very good condition. Divination drum, of cylindrical shape. The body of the instrument is hollowed out, and is surmounted by a nicely carved head. Wood, with fine dark-brown glossy patina. Africa, D.R. Congo (ex Zaire), Yaka Peoples. Height: 16" (41cm). Obvious signs of age and use, tiny chips in some areas, erosion all over, otherwise very good condition.

Statue of an ancestor ("hampatong") in squatting posture, long head topped by a cap, small ears, long nose, mouth open showing teeth, thin arms alongside thin torso, hands holding knees, large bent legs with no feet, resting on rounded base. Small hole beneath base. Dark-brown wood. Indonesia, Borneo Island, Ngaju or Ot Danum Peoples. Height: 8 3/4" (22,2 cm). Erosion all over, otherwise good condition. A rather unusual figurine from tribes related to the famous Dayak Peoples.

Face mask of rounded rectangular shape, with protruding large forehead, square pierced through eyes, thin long nose, square pierced through mouth showing teeth, short chin. Irregular holes around rim. Wood, beautiful semi-glossy patina. Eyes and mouth underlined with white pigments, the rest of the mask being coloured with a dark-brown pigment. Africa, R.D.
