Large mask, with large forehead, eyebrows in relief, coffee-bean eyes, protruding triangular nose, mouth in relief, large chin. A coiffe is attached around the upper side of the rim; it is composed of feathers on top, surmounting a raffia and wood structure which is meant to cover the dancer's head. Below cheek level, a raffia beard is attached around the lower part of the rim. A black and white pigment decor is painted over the face, to represent war paint, or maybe stylized scarifications. ...click for details

Very old mask, oval face surmounted by a flaring cylinder with geometric decor on top and lower side, crescent-like coiffe, relief eyebrows ending with a well defined thin nose, small ears, large protruding eyes, pierced through open mouth showing teeth, small chin, and a stylized beard. Mask of round shape, with oval pierced through eyes, large triangular nose, protruding slit mouth, small chin. A raffia and wood coiffe, on which cowrie shells and old glass beads are sewn, is attached to the back of the mask.
