Snuff bottle of rounded shape, flat sides, a "tao tie" mask carved in relief on each shoulder. Well hollowed out caramel agate. Modern mottled grey stone stopper, bone spoon. China, 19th century. Height: 2 1/2" (6,4 cm). Extremely tiny chips at base, otherwise very good condition.

Small textile fragment of brown and beige colour, embroidered in the shape of stylized eagles in geometric frames. Peru, Pre-Columbian Period, Nazca Culture, Ca. 1000-500 B.C. Dimensions; length: around 10 1/2" (26,5 cm), width: around 6 5/8" (16,7 cm). A few stains, and partial damages on some eagles.

Face mask carved in the shape of a smiling face wearing an official cap. Wood, with numerous superimposed layers of polychrome pigments. Remnants of a Chinese character on top of the cap. A series of tiny holes under the cheeks and on the chin suggest the former existence of a moustache and a beard, probably some animal hair. China, early 19th century, maybe older. Height: 9" (23 cm). A pair of belt plates, of square shape, concave on the obverse with a geometric design in relief. Reverse with traces of hooks for attachment to the belt. Bronze, with remnants of original gilding, fine green patina, slightly encrusted in some areas. Dimensions: width: 1 5/16" (3,2 cm); thickness: 1/8" (3 mm). The pair is encased in a box specially built to protect it. Very good condition.

Small snuff bottle of bulbous shape. Agate, with nice inclusions. Silver stopper with coral and turquoise inserts, bone spoon. China, 19th century. Height (without stopper): 2 1/16" (5,2 cm). Obvious signs of use and age, one coral insert missing, otherwise very good condition.

Large mask, of fierce expression, with protruding forehead and nose, and large, pierced through eyes, nostrils and mouth. The mask is covered with numerous small holes around the eyebrows, under the nose and around the chin, in which animal hair has been inserted and glued with wax.
