Some people say that Marie-Josee is, in many ways, more a painter than a ceramist. She loves to paint on raw clay, using pigments which she mixes together in a totally non-scientific manner, to create colors, rythm and movement in combination with various texturings of the clay. She likes the fact that she cannot re-create the same colors twice, so each piece remains totally unique. This is an excellent example of her use of colors and textures. ...click for details
