Small plate representing Bhimsen, the legendary wrestler, the brother of the Pandavas from the Mahabarata. Bhimsen is shown here subduing a demon. Embossed brass, with nice green and red patina. Nepal, 17th century, maybe earlier. Dimensions: length: 4 3/4" (12 cm), height: 2 7/8" (7,5 cm). The plate is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Face mask, of rounded triangular shape, with small ears, eyes pierced through and in a recess, small nose in relief, open pierced through mouth. Two holes under the chin (no damage or danger). Wood, semi-glossy patina. Indonesia, Timor Island. Height: 11 1/2" (29 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old accident on the right eye, chips around the rim, otherwise good condition.

Large disc, perforated at its center with a conical section hole. Green jade, with beige/light brown inclusions. China, Neolithic Period. Dimensions: outside diameter: 12,3 cm, inside diameter: 4,8 cm, thickness: 5 to 7 mm. There is a kind of slanted straight dent on one side of the rim, as can be seen in a few similar pieces of this period. Several chips around the rim, otherwise good condition.
NOTE; this kind of disc, commonly called "bi" disc, was supposed to symbolize Heaven.

Statue of a bodhisattva, in "lalitasana" (sitting at ease, a posture of relaxation), his face reflecting a profound inner serenity. The statue was probably made of several parts. The right arm was carved separately, and is thus attached to the statue with a tenon. Wood, with traces of polychrome pigments. China, early Ming Dynasty period (circa 14th century). A rather large cup, light celadon colour, with a moulded decor of stylized lotuses, in light relief, in the center, and a decor carved in relief of lotus petals at the back. China Song Dynasty Period (960-1279 A.D.). Dimensions: height: 2 1/2" (6,6 cm), diameter: 7 1/16" (18,1 cm). Remnants of the original silver cover around the rim. Small kiln defect at the back (see photo), otherwise very good condition.

A rather large cup, of thin thickness, light celadon colour, with a moulded decor of lines in slight relief that are perpendicular and running from the rim to the center, and of two fishes in waves, in slight relief, in the center. The back is not decorated. There are traces of brown soil encrustations and remnants of the original silver cover around the rim. China, Song Dynasty Period (960-1279 A.D.).
