Large disc, perforated at its center with a conical section hole. Green jade, with beige/light brown inclusions. China, Neolithic Period. Dimensions: outside diameter: 12,3 cm, inside diameter: 4,8 cm, thickness: 5 to 7 mm. There is a kind of slanted straight dent on one side of the rim, as can be seen in a few similar pieces of this period. Several chips around the rim, otherwise good condition.
NOTE; this kind of disc, commonly called "bi" disc, was supposed to symbolize Heaven.

Terra-cotta toy representing a ram, with circular horns, small forelegs, its back supporting a kind of elaborate stand, its hind legs a cylinder which must have held wheels originally. Pinkish terra-cotta, with soil encrustations. Near Eastern Region, Syrian or Elamite, 3rd to 2nd century B.C. Dimensions: height: 2 3/4" (6,5 cm), length: 4 1/4" (11 cm). Very good condition despite obvious signs of use and age. A rare piece. Ex. old French collection.

Pair of plaques in the shape of not entirely identical snarling tigers, with a hole at shoulder level for attachment. Bronze, with red, blue and green partly encrusted patina. China, Han Dynasty Period, Ordos Culture. Length: 3 1/2" and 3 5/8" (8,7 and 9,1 cm). The pair is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. A crack on the smallest piece, otherwise very good condition.

Pair of "tao tie" masks, with a rod at the back, probably for attachment to what originally was a vessel, now gone. Bronze, with fine green partly encrusted patina, remnants of soil encrustations. China, Warring States Period (-475/-221), maybe earlier. Dimensions: height: 1 11/16" (4,1 cm), width: 1 1/2" (3,9 cm). The pair is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Very good condition.

Small belt hook, its main part with two holes meant to receive turquoise inlays (one of them still remaining), its short stem ending in a very finely cast dragon head also having a hole at each eye level to receive turquoise inlays (one of them still remaining). Large round knob at the back for attachment to a leather belt. Bronze, with partly encrusted red and green patina. China, Warring States Period (-475/-221). Height: 1 3/4" (4,5 cm). Very good condition.
