Extremely rare large porcelain bowl with blue decoration on white background representing outside flowers and foliage surmounted by a geometric design near the rim and, inside, three concentric designs, first, in the center, a phoenix amidst flowers, then on the sides the same flower design than outside and, near the rim, a geometric design. Statue of Kubera, the God of Wealth and Prosperity, wearing diadem and formal attire, sitting on a dais. The god holds the Buddhist umbrella in his right hand, while he holds the mongoose that spits the jewels in his left hand. The statue is made of gilt copper, with a nice green and reddish patina in the recesses. Tibet, 18th century. Height: 4 7/8" (12,3 cm). Very good condition.

Finely cast phurpa, showing, from top to bottom: three deitiy heads, then a "dorje", then a "makara" head swallowing snakes, surmounting the triple blade. Bronze, dark green patina in the recesses. Tibet, 18th century. Height: 8 1/16" (20,6 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Obvious signs of great age, otherwise good condition.

Superbly cast statue of "arhat" (or "arakan" in Japanese) Panthaka, one of the 16 famous disciples of Buddha. Panthaka is shown wearing a monk's robe on his emaciated features and sitting on a rock in a defensive attitude. He holds the "cintamani" (the Buddhist "holy pearl") in his left hand and a bowl in his right hand, and is accompanied by a dragon on the lower front side of the rock. A large and very well hollowed out snuff bottle, with a relief design of a mask on each side. Agate, with beautiful effects against a light. Modern agate stopper and bone spoon. China, 19th century. Height: 3 1/8" (7,8 cm). Very good condition. Despite its size, the snuf bottle is light weighted.

Embossed silver snuff bottle decorated on each side with a dragon in clouds and flames. Tiny loops on each shoulder for attachment to a cord and thus to a belt. Stopper also made of silver with a coral inlay, copper spoon. China, 19th century. Height: 3 1/8" (8 cm). Slight dent at the foot, otherwise very good condition.

Old "phumbu" face mask, of typical triangular shape, with large and low lids, pointed nose, open mouth showing teeth and tiny ears. Wood, with large remnants of red, white and black pigments. Beautifully cast statue of a lama, or maybe an "arhat", in monk's robes, sitting in "bhadrasana" on a squarish throne, holding a small dragon in his hands, while the dragon itself holds the rope of a censer in its mouth. Gilt copper, the eyes and mouth themselves being nicely painted. The whole statue shows very fine details, in the folds of the robe, the dragon, the censer or the face. Tibet, 18th century. Finely carved head of a lohan, his very expressive face reflecting a tense meditation, with a "third eye" in the middle of his forehead. Wood, with fragments of plaster and traces of the original polychromy. China, early Ming Dynasty period (1368-1644), maybe earlier. Height: 11 1/2" (29 cm).
