| Mask representing the face of a tiger, with small ears, protruding forehead, relief eyebrows, recessed eyes pierced through, thin nose, carved open mouth showing teeth, small chin. Wood, semi-glossy dark-brown patina with traces of reddish pigment. Himalayan Region, early 20th century, probably older. Height: 10 1/2" (24cm). The mask is mounted on a custom metal stand. Obvious signs of use and age, chip at tip of nose, age crack at left side of forehead (see photo), otherwise good condition. | |||||||
