| Statue of a standing male, with large head, coffee-bean eyes, triangular nose and open mouth, over cylindrical neck, elongated torso, short arms with stylized hands, relief nipples, protruding ombilic, resting on short bent legs and stylized feet. Large hole on top of head containing ritual material. Wood, with thick brown semi-glossy patina. Africa, D.R. Congo (ex Zaire), Lega Peoples. Height: 10 5/8" (27cm). Obvious signs of use and age, some chips and erosion, hole beneath left foot for attachment to a mount now gone, otherwise excellent condition. | ||||||||
