| A beautiful and very fine solid silver tribal pipe which belonged to a member of the Lawa Tribes who live in the Golden Triangle Region, North of Burma, Thailand and Laos, the area where opium is grown. The bowl is in the stylized shape of a poppy, while the stem is nicely curved and adorned with geometric design. North Laos, 19th century. Fine darkish patina. Obvious signs of use and age. A very attractive and genuine old piece of tribal art of the Golden Triangle. | |||||
