| Dome-shaped seal, with incised design of a male bust in profile. Hole pierced throughout for attachement to a necklace. Agate, with deep calcification due to a long stay underground. Persia, Sassanian Period, 5th/6th century A.D. Height: 1 3/4" (2 cm). The seal is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand which bears a patinated plaster imprint of the incised design. Erosion and a few tiny chips, otherwise very good condition. | ||
