| Limbless figure, its head wearing a large coiffe with metal horns nailed on top, a small face with a large forehead and large ears, surmounting a long and thick cylindrical neck, its torso covered with several pieces of fabric tied to it with numerous raffia ropes and old iron nails. Wood, with numerous traces of sacrificial material, darkish semi-glossy patina. The figure wears two necklaces made of old and tiny white glass beads and a large iron necklace. Africa, Nigeria, Ibo Peoples. Height: around 26 1/2" (67 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Good condition. The figure is quite heavy. | ||||||||
