| Halberd point, horizontal blade, its inverted L-shape back being used for attachment to a wooden staff (now long gone). Archaic characters are still visible on the lower part of the piece (see last photo). Bronze, with partly encrusted green and red patina and traces of blue oxidization. China Warring States Period (475-211 B.C.). Length: 8 1/4" (21 cm). The halberd point is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand that enhances its beauty. Obvious signs of use and great age, chips on the blade, otherwise good condition. | ||||||||
