| Relief fragment carved in the shape of a mythological guardian lion bust and forelegs, backed by a rectangular slab. Grey schist, with traces of soil encrustation. Graeco-buddhist art of the Gandhara Region, 2nd/3rd century A.D. Height: 7 1/2" (18,5 cm). The relief is affixed to a plexi stand with a coating of silicon glue at the back (can be peeled off if needed). Chip at forehead right side, left foreleg partly missing, otherwise good condition.
