| Statue of a male character, with a large head, his hands on his abdomen, his legs slightly bent resting on small feet, standing on a rounded base. Wood, with light brown patina, traces of sacrificial material. Africa, Dahomey/Benin Region. Height: 14" (35,5 cm). The statue is mounted on a custom wood stand. Despite an old insect infestation at the base (no danger), very good condition. Note: this piece was probably part of a larger post, now gone, and was meant to protect the household from evil spirits. | |||||||||
