| Pair of "tao tie" masks, with a rod at the back, probably for attachment to what originally was a vessel, now gone. Bronze, with fine green partly encrusted patina, remnants of soil encrustations. China, Warring States Period (-475/-221), maybe earlier. Dimensions: height: 1 11/16" (4,1 cm), width: 1 1/2" (3,9 cm). The pair is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Very good condition. | ||||||||
