| Mask of a princess, wearing diadem, her smiling face with large open pierced through eyes, large beak-shaped nose, slightly open pierced through mouth. Wood, with remnants of several superimposed layers of polychrome pigments in some areas, dark patina overall. Himalayan Region, Monpa Sherdukpen Peoples, early 20th century, probably earlier. Height: 10 3/8" (26,5 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Small chip at the right ear, old accident at the back of the chin, otherwise very good condition. | |||||||||||
