| Feminine figure standing on a square base, with a pointed coiffe, her large realistic head with wide eyes, small ears, fine nose, open mouth showing teeth, with large shoulders, pointed breasts, protruding abdomen, hands holding small cylinders, short legs resting on very large feet. Wood, with remnants of brown pigments. Brass nails on coiffe. Africa, D.R. Congo, Bakongo Peoples, Yombe sub-group. Height: 17" (42,5 cm). Age crack above left breast, small chip at right ear, erosion at base, otherwise very good condition. | |||||||||
