| Terra-cotta toy representing a ram, with circular horns, small forelegs, its back supporting a kind of elaborate stand, its hind legs a cylinder which must have held wheels originally. Pinkish terra-cotta, with soil encrustations. Near Eastern Region, Syrian or Elamite, 3rd to 2nd century B.C. Dimensions: height: 2 3/4" (6,5 cm), length: 4 1/4" (11 cm). Very good condition despite obvious signs of use and age. A rare piece. Ex. old French collection. | |||||||||
