| Beautifully carved drum handle, with a tenon on top, surmounting a stylized "dorje", resting on three globular deity heads (each one with a different expression), themselves surmounting a three-blade point. Wood, with a fine dark-brown glossy patina. Himalayan Region, late 19th century. Height: 16" (40 cm). Very good condition. NOTE: the drum ("dyangro") was used by a shaman during ritual ceremonies. | |||||||||||||||
