Noh traditional theater mask representing the character of Obeshimi, a demon ("tengu") who defies the laws of Buddhism. Wood, hand painted with polychrome pigments to enhance the mask features. Japan, 19th century. Height: 20.2 cm. Some paint flaking on a few areas, otherwise very good condition
