Small four legged portable Buddhist altar with a statue of bearded Bodhisattva Padmapani standing on an elevated and stylized lotus throne and holding a gourd in his left hand. Gilt bronze with partly encrusted green patina. China, Wei Dynasty period (386-534 AD). Height: 3 5/16" (8,5 cm). Gilding partly missing in small areas, otherwise very good condition. Ex. old German collection.

Belt hook made of bronze, with fine geometric design in relief at the base and on the stem. Button at the back for attachment to a belt. Green and red encrusted patina. China, Warring States period (-475/-221). Height: 5.6 cm. Very good condition.

Bronze statue of Bodhisattva Padmapani, standing, wearing diadem and dhoti. Right arm, left hand and feet missing. Fine patina. Gandhara Civilisation 1st to 3rd century. Height: 23,6 cm. The statue is nicely mounted on a custom stand.

Cylinder seal finely engraved to represent a human being holding a bird in each hand and standing beside a couple of winged chimeras each with a human head and surmounted by a bird with two heads. Bronze with green patina. Bactria, Ca. 4th century BC. Height: 3 cm. Very good condition. NOTE: this rare seal may come from Mesopotamia, or be inspired from its art.

Fragmentary relief representing two standing bearded men, with a column, or pilaster, between them. Grey schist. Gandhara Civilisation period, ca. 2nd century. Height: 15,8 cm. The relief is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Very good condition.

Rare gilt bronze pendant, of circular form, with a finely embossed decoration representing a soldier beating a seated man with a whip, the whole scene surrounded by geometric design. Small cylindrical loop for attachement to a necklace. Nice patina. Bactrian Civilisation, ca. 500 BC. Diameter: 9.3 cm. Very good condition. Buddhist Stupa mounted on an elephant. The stupa is composed of four parts which were carved separately in rock crystal. Graeco-Buddhist art, Gandhara, ca. 3rd century. Height: 8.8 cm. Old accident locally restored, otherwise very good condition. A rare piece.

Bronze plate of circular form with a decoration in relief on the obverse depicting Centaur Chiron with Achilles on his back holding a spear. At the reverse, decoration in relief depicting a concentric stylised foliage. Fine age patina. Bactrian Civilisation, 3rd to 2nd century BC. Diameter: 15.8 cm. Very good condition. Jade bi of light green colour, decorated in relief with an elaborate design representing on both sides dragons and chimeras. China, Han Dynasty period. Soil encrustations, with no damage on the design. Diameter: 5.5 cm. Very good condition.

Bone hairpin with an elaborate decoration on its top representing the head of a horse surmounted by a standing animal, probably a ram. Bactria, 3rd to 2nd century B.C. Height: 8.8 cm. Lower part probably partly missing, otherwise very good condition .

Miniature Buddhist stupa carved from rock cristal, comprising of a central stupa surrounded by four lateral smaller stupas, standing on a square base. The piece is made of twelve parts which were carved separately as shown on photos # 9 and 10. Gandhara Graeco-Buddhist art, 1st to 5th century. Height: 9.8 cm. A few stains due to a prolonged stay underground, slight abrasion, otherwise very good condition.

Relief fragment finely carved with a strong Greek aesthetic influence, representing a yakshi in a niche, wearing a diadem, a necklace and a robe, holding a branch with her right hand. Grey schist. Pakistan, Gandharan Greaco-Buddhist art, 1st to 3rd century. Height: 14 cm. The relief is nicely mounted on a custom stand made of green marble. Good condition. Provenance: old British collection.
