Cylinder seal finely engraved to represent a human being holding a bird in each hand and standing beside a couple of winged chimeras each with a human head and surmounted by a bird with two heads. Bronze with green patina. Bactria, Ca. 4th century BC. Height: 3 cm. Very good condition. NOTE: this rare seal may come from Mesopotamia, or be inspired from its art.

Finely cast vajra, or "dorje", with five prongs of which four are coming out of "makara" (water dragons) mouths, and the classic double lotus shaped center. Bronze, nice green patina. Tibet, 18th century.Length: 4 7/16" (11,3 cm). Very good condition.

Ancient censer, of circular shape, resting on three feet, decorated on all sides with dragons in relief "chasing the pearl" and, on two sides, with dragon heads. Bronze, fine green patina. Reign mark beneath, probably apocryphal (Ming Dynasty, Xuande reign). China, early 19th century. Height: 3 1/4" (8,5 cm). Diameter: 5 4/8" (14,5 cm). Very good condition.

Pendant of circular shape, with a small loop for attachment to a necklace. Th pendant is decorated with a design in relief representing a noble woman standing with her two servants. Small statue of Kuan Yin, in formal attire, sitting in "rajalila asana" (king's posture) on a highly stylized lion, itself resting on a lotus base. Bronze, with large remnants of lacquering and gold paint, nice green patina. China, early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Height: 6 1/4" (15,8 cm). Chip at the back of the base, small loss on the diadem, otherwise very good condition. A truly beautiful casting.

Mirror finely cast in the shape of a flaming "triratna", its stand framed by two small "apsaras". Bronze, with nice green and red patina. Traces of "tika" on some areas. Nepal, 18th century. Height: 20 cm. Erosion due to age, otherwise very good condition.

Bust of Buddha, his face reflecting a profound inner serenity. Bronze with encrusted dark and reddish green patina. Thailand, Ayutthaya Period, Ca. 16th century. Height: 8 1/4" (21 cm). The bust is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Good condition. NOTE: a bronze plate was welded to the back of the bust, probably early 20th century, to allow the bust to be attached to a former stand, now gone (see photos). Ex. old French collection.

Finely carved chief sceptre with a genie sitting on its top, surmounting a squatting ancestor, under which are geometric relief designs leading to the lower part. Wood, with nice glossy patina. Small Buddhist stupa mounted on an elephant. The stupa is composed of three parts which were carved separately from chlorite. Graeco-Buddhist art, Gandhara, ca. 3rd century. Height: 13.7 cm. Several chips, otherwise very good condition. A rare piece.

Large wood stand of circular shape resting on five feet. The stand was carved from a unique piece of heavy high quality wood. China, Qing Dynasty, 19th century. Inside diameter: 14 cm. Height: 7 cm. Very good condition.

Small glass phial, with a bulbous body resting on a circular foot and surmounted by a cylindrical long neck. Slight irisations and soil encrustations. Roman period, ca. 3rd century. Height: 5.5 cm. Very good condition.

This covered box of a Sawankhalok underglazed black stoneware has an unusual design including six raised bands dividing petal-shaped segments. This type of Sawankhalok ware was produced in Sisatchanelai kilns, Thailand during the fourteenth to fiftheenth centuries. Height: 11 cm. Very good condition. Provenance: Acquired in Singapore in 1990 from MoonGate, owner Mr K. T. Goh, a famous local antique dealer.

Rare half-mask of the esoteric Nuo theater representing a demon. Wood, with numerous perforations around the top of the forehead, above the eyes and below the nose in order to represent the hair, eyebrows and mustache. The mask was lacquered originally. Indra is sitting in "vajrasana" on a lotus throne, his left hand resting on his knee , his right hand in "vitarka mudra". Above the scenery, a four line inscription. Two character mark beneath. The rim is protected by a bronze circle, but this is not meant to hide any blemish. China, Qing Dynasty. Height: 3,3 cm. Salt box with its lid, of rectangular shape, decorated with incised geometric design on its sides, and geometric, partly in relief, design on its lid. An opening on the lid allows a spoon (now missing) to rest inside the box. Nepal, 19th century. Length: 18,7 cm. Height: 11 cm. Some erosion due to age, otherwise very good condition. Collected in Nepal in the early seventies.

A superb tea kettle, its body made of copper, its handle and spout made of bronze and cast in the shape of dragons. Tibetan snuff bottle of flat shape made of silver with a lavish embossed decor representing Tibetan Tantric Budhism deities, fistly Acala, one of the eight Dharmapalas holding a sword in his right hand on one side, and secondly one of the Dakinis on the other side.
