Superbly cast bronze belt hook with a finely detailed dragon head at its top with gold and silver eyes, ears and nose, and with gold and silver inlaid geometric designs on the rest of the body. A knob at the back for attachment to a belt. Nice reddish green age patina, partly encrusted. China, Warring States period. Height: 10.5 cm. Very good condition. Large rock cristal seal of dome form, with an engraved design representing the bust of a helmeted king in profile. A vertical inscription is incised in front of the profile. Bactria, 4th century BC. Height of the dome: 2.6 cm. Height of the seal: 3.1 cm. Traces of soil encrustation. Tiny chips, otherwise very good condition.

Miniature Buddhist stupa carved from rock cristal, comprising of a central stupa surrounded by four lateral smaller stupas, standing on a square base. The piece is made of twelve parts which were carved separately as shown on photos # 9 and 10. Gandhara Graeco-Buddhist art, 1st to 5th century. Height: 9.8 cm. A few stains due to a prolonged stay underground, slight abrasion, otherwise very good condition.

Steatite bowl, with an elaborate decoration carved in relief representing bearded and winged characters, in formal attire, standing and holding a disc, maybe a cymbal, in each hand, alternating with two circular symbols and surmounted by a geometric design around the rim. Rectangular box, made of silver alloy, with an embossed decoration representing, on each side, one or two Buddhas sitting cross-legged in meditation posture, surrounded by floral design. Graeco-Buddhist art, Gandhara period, ca. 3rd century. Height: 10 cm. Length: 18.2 cm. Width: 9.4 cm. A few tiny dents (no damage) otherwise very good condition. A rare piece.

Funeral statuette composed of two separate parts: a head made of limestone, a formal robe made of chlorite adorned with a necklace and two tigers in relief on the sides. This type of statuette is commonly called "Bactrian princess" among specialists, and dates back from the mid third to the early second millenium BC. NOTE: a lamassu is a protective deity having a human head, the body of a bull or a lion, and sometimes wings.

Grey schist relief fragment, decorated in detail with, on the left side, two square niches showing two stages of the life of Buddha --- Buddha standing and flanked by his two disciples on the upper niche, and Buddha sitting on a throne and meditating with his two disciples in praying posture --- while on the right side, are two superimposed rectangular niches inside which two putti are shown.
