Small relief fragment in the shape of a head of Buddha, eyes closed, his slightly smiling face reflecting a profound inner serenity. Sandstone. Cambodia, Khmer Period, Bayon Style, 13th century. The piece is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Height (without stand): 12 cm. Erosion due to great age, trace of glue on the lower left side, otherwise very good condition.

Small Shiva lingam carved on black stone, with four deities heads in relief around the lingam. The object is eroded with age, and encrusted with remnants of ritual substances, but the decoration is still visible. Nepal, 15th century or earlier. Height: 6.5 cm. Length: 8 cm. Good condition.

A figure of Avalokiteshvara, with four arms, standing, wearing a short "sampot" carved with parallel pleats and secured with a jeweled belt, hair arranged in a cylindrical topknot centered by a diminutive figure of Buddha Amithaba. Statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, in monk's robes, sitting cross-legged on a double lotus throne, his hands in bhumisparsa mudra. Cast iron. China, Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368 A.D.). Height: 23 cm. Tiny statue of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara in his Padmapani manifestation, wearing formal garment and diadem, standing on a lotus. Gilt bronze. China, Tang Dynasty. Height: 4.6 cm. The statue is mounted on a plexiglass stand. Gilding partly missing, otherwise very good condition.

Small statue of Taoist God Chao Kung Ming, in military garb, with a martial posture, his right foot resting on his tiger. Votive box at the back (lid missing). Funeral statuette made of calcite. The statuette is composed of three separate parts: a head, a torso adorned with two chimeras in relief and a base decorated with geometric design also in relief. This type of statuette is commonly called "Bactrian princess" among specialists, and dates back from the mid third to the early second millenium BC. Such funeral objects seem to have played an important role in the funerals of elites of the Margiana and maybe the Bactrian courts as well. Height: 8.4 cm...

Rare gilt bronze gourd, of oval shape, with an embossed decor representing Bodhisattva Padmapani, standing, holding a vase in his left hand and a lotus on his right hand. Geometric design on the back and the sides. A nicely decorated stopper is attached to the gourd with a small chain. Small figurine finely cast in the shape of a human being in a crouching posture, with horn shaped hairdo. Bronze, with reddish-green patina. This particular object appears to be the support of a large bronze base, as shown on a picture of similar objects exhibited at the National Historical Museum in Beijing (cat. Bronzes, NHM, Beijing, 1995, no. 1037, p. 287), which we show on our last photograph. The piece dates back to the Warring States period (475-221 BC). Length: 4.4 cm. Height: 5.2 cm...
